National Reflections Art Program

Reflections

This Year's Theme - "The World Would Be A Better Place If"

The National PTA Reflections Program encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this program.

Students are encouraged to develop their talents in the arts.  Students may work at home on their own, or they can attend the after school Reflections Art Club, where supplies, equipment, and professional guest artists are on hand to help.  We can also help fill out entry forms and make sure entries meet with guidelines.

For a student entry form, click here

There are six categories of the arts that you can explore!

Time to Turn in your Box Tops!

Netzaberg Middle School needs your
Box Tops for Education!

You wouldn't throw away a dime, would you?  Each time you clip a Box Top and hand it in, you are donating 10 cents to the school!  We use these donations to purchase needed supplies and improvements for out school and students.

Nurse Kane collects Box Tops every morning in the front entryway.  You can also turn them in at the "Box Tops" collection point clearly marked just inside the front doors.

Our fall collection deadline is Thursday, October 30, so get cutting!

How to Order School Pictures

The kids have hammed it up for the photographers this year, with fun full-body poses and traditional yearbook shots.  (Big thanks to our volunteers who came out to help on picture days!)

Ready to order?

Your child should receive a photographer's proof on Friday, October 17 at school.  This proof will have your personal code to view all six poses online! You can even pick custom backgrounds if you want!

There are three payment options:

1. ONLINE: You may choose to simply order and pay online with a credit/debit card following the prompts on the secure website.
2. CASH: If you prefer to pay using the traditional method of cash (U.S. Dollars, exact amount) proceed with your order online, and when you get to the payment area, simply select "pay offline" and the website will give you directions to print your order information and turn in the money to the school front office.
3. CHECK: If you prefer to pay using a personal check (made out to NMS PTSA), proceed with your order online, and when you get to the payment area, simply select "pay offline" and the website will give you directions to print your order information and turn in the money to the school front office.

Here is a message from the photographer:

Dear Parents,
We have sent home with your student a proof print together with the ordering instructions for the school photos which are simple and straight forward. A couple of things to be aware of:
  1. The order deadline date is Oct 31 2014
  2. If you order prints with the white background the background will be smooth (in case it is not on the proof).
  3. Please be aware that not all full body poses look good on special backgrounds – we trust you accept our professional expertise to adjust the pose to give you the best result. (we may need to zoom in to avoid a “floating effect”)
  4. The prints are expected back around the end of November.
  5. The internet explorer browser may not always work – try firefox or google chrome
If you have any questions please feel free to contact your local PTSA President at princesswahooey@hotmail.com or us at any time at : info@internationalmemories.it

Take the Red Ribbon Pledge now and be a part of the creation of a drug free America.

What's the Pledge about?

  1. As parents and citizens, we will talk to our children and the children in our lives about the dangers of drug abuse.
  2. We will set clear rules for our children about not using drugs.
  3. We will set a good example for our children by not using illegal drugs or medicine without a prescription.
  4. We will monitor our children's behavior and enforce appropriate consequences, so that our rules are respected.
  5. We will encourage family and friends to follow the same guidelines to keep children safe from substance abuse.

I pledge to set guidelines to help children grow up safe, healthy and drug-free.

Pledge by signing your name in the form at the top of the page!
